The Statue of Decay

Decay is omnipresent and the body ephemeral, a vessel for trauma and consciousness. It is repetition. It outlasts everyone and everything, the ending life and the beginning. In my work I observe decay and how the human body as a vessel interacts with decay metaphorically and physically. I explore the intersection of trauma, organic forms, and a collective unconscious to illustrate a narrative of these themes both personal and ubiquitous.
